I'm no businessman but a thought occurred to me that I'll throw out in case there are any smart corporate finance types reading this. If the Development commission is created, with RL on the board, doesn't that instantly make RL a much more valuable company, and thus more likely to be taken over/bought out by a bigger out-of-state company? I mean, in other parts of the country there are companies that don't just develop subdivisions, they develop entire towns. Wouldn't the ability to develop one of the finest lakes while also having a seat on the zoning board be unique and highly desirable? I realize RL is privately held but everyone has a price.
