Due to the quick deadline this week, some regs got locked out...I will put your picks in for you (not counting the weds. nite game) if you email them to me by the start of the game tonight.

I'm all for fairness, but a side of fairness in competition is everybody follows the same rules. Ample warning given, 3 throw away weeks in the season, no reason to bend the rules.

I sent your picks to Greg and then had your post deleted.

sorry that I am slow replying...my Charter internet was out for 5-6 hrs this afternoon...your point is well taken...my reasoning was that having a team in the top 25 playing on Wednesday night is such a rarity that I could see where a slip-up could occur...but you make a valid point especially considering the drop 3 option...thanks

Since my schedule usually doesn't allow me to get home before one of these early games starts I have started logging on on Monday evening and completing all of my picks on first impression.

Then I stew on them the rest of the week and log back on and change my picks when I feel I need to change one or more (which hasn't been working too good for me lately). At least I have my picks completed in case something happens.

I don't have a problem with Bigfoot helping out when someone slips up...the slipper upper gets a game or 2 penalty anyway.

This is all for fun...right,,,,but what are we gonna do when ESPN starts showing a game on Monday night or every day of the week?

Bigfoot:
Any way to make Thursday evening @ 7PM EST the permanant deadline and if you get in on a earlier great ...or just don't include Mon-Wed games?

all good thoughts, BB....my options when setting up the pool include 1) a roving deadline where you have an individual deadline for each game (don't think that one would work well--too many would incomplete sheets each week)...2) a firm deadline set by me which could cause problems with early games getting excluded leading to some getting charged with a loss where the pick was not even made...or 3) the method we are using where pooltracker sets the deadline with the beginning of the first game involving a top 25 team which is the pool we are using. I think option 3 is the best for us but would probably be best to
discontinue variances to the rule....hope all our good pool comrades enjoy the games ...what a feast of football is in store for us today!!
