WEEK 8: Louie The Cat was struttin' proudly Saturday knowing he had pushed his boss, TALISI, onward and upward in the football pool. TALISI hit eight in a row in the afternoon and closed by
hitting his final six games for a total of 16 points for the day. That's good enough for a hefty 73% win ratio. For good measure, he came within one point of nailing the Tiebreaker! It turned out to be another week of incredibly good picking as 5 others picked up 15 wins (68%). In the order that they were seperated by the Tiebreaker, they are LAMONT, BAMABOB, DUPONT, FUFAN, and BLMEANIE. TALISI and JLAZC have now surged into the lead for overall total points with several others in hot pursuit. The "drop 3" option was not available as of this writing so more on that later. Congratulations to the frontrunners. Go ye forth now and prepare for Amen Corner! Good luck!

..one little amendment...I reversed the order of finish on the tiebreaker for BLMEANIE and FUFAN...but, what the heck, all those tied for runner-up with 15 points deserve a trophy anyway...Pooltracker boys must be sleeping late...still no official results...that late Boise game was too much for them...

Thanks BF, Louie had some extra help this last week since sugar was recuperating and they spent a lot of time together. He listened to her about some of the dog teams but let his cat show through a couple of times. Some of the SEC teams that have not lost (both of them) have not been able to cover the last two weeks and it seems to be catching on with others around the country (USC, Utah). It will be interesting to see how the polls and computers place some of the top teams after the close calls yesterday.

You're so right, Talisi...also, looked to me like there was a tad
of "under-enforcement" from officials in a couple of SEC games yesterday. Now, the big question is--what the heck is going on
with Auburn???I refuse to believe that they are as bad as they looked last night. Anyway, good pickin' Talisi...i.e. Louie and Sugar.

Auburn is right on schedule for where most picked them (7 and 5). The thing is the way they won five straight had folks hoping that they would be better than they are. Let Chizik and staff get a couple of recruiting classes in and you will see a big difference.

Yeah, I like Chizik and his staff. I feel that good things will eventually come...obviously need to shore up the defense.
