WEEK 14: BLMEANIE, P.C., and HARLEYRIDER each snagged 6 of the 10 available points for the week and finished in the order given based upon the Tiebreaker score. TALISI closed out a totally hot second half of the season and held on to be declared the FootballPalooza 2009 Regular Season Champ! TALISI had the numbers no matter how you cut it. For the full 14 week season, the scoring ended up with TALISI 154, JLAZC 152, and LAKEDUDE 152. If you drop the 3 lowest scoring weeks, the point totals become TALISI 136, LAKEDUDE 134, and JLAZC 131. Pooltracker for reasons unknown changed their "drop worst 3" button to "drop worst 2" and the totals there are seemingly unreliable...regardless of whether you drop 3 or 2, the order of finish is the same. A hearty congratulations to the top finishers as well as to the entire pool for a commendable performance all season. It was good to see all 20 members in on the final week. Information should be posted in a couple of days about the big bowl pool....hope to see you all returning for the big finale.

TALISI for Bail-Out Czar. When are we headed to Vegas? Congrats to weekly winners as well, thanks to BigFoot for some fun that doesn't cost much, and I love this lake in the winter time!

Congrats to the season winners, unbelievable numbers turned in week after week. Thanks Bigfoot for organizing the pool! As a first timer, I've watched Sportcenter, listened to Finebaum and read everything I could about college football this fall! It's been a blast!

I agree with all above. Congratulations to all winners and especially Talisi!! Bigfoot - you were born to be poolmaster. Thanks. Lets all get together sometime in the Spring and award Talisi the Bigfoot Cup.

Thanks BF for putting the time in so that the rest of us have this reason to learn more about College football. I have had to try to learn about the history and the teams when it comes to the spreads. Now all I have to do is figure out when Jlazc is going to be at the lake for that BGE dinner side bet we had. We will have to do lunch again soon.

Bring on the playoff pool!
Great job, Larry. If it's ok with you, we can save the payoff till spring. That way Liz can join the fun and we won't have to use the egg for warmth. We will come get you and Pam with the new speed boat and make a day of it.

Yes, congrats to the winners which is all of us who had a lot of fun. I ditto that about not throwing away money on sports.
BF, now that we have an established pool, isn't it about time to start applying a handicap on the horses? I figure mine should be, oh, about 25 points!

No, ot, you are definitely not "really bad" at it...you did not let the spreads beat you...you were right at 50% for the season--a mark that I consider respectable. Another note, also, is that on the results page, a player not playing every week will have inaccurate win percentages listed since a missed week is calculated as all losses. Actually, I thought our entire pool had very decent results--top to bottom.

I checked with BigFoot's budget and WhiteHall is the best we can do, and I don't think we should take Louie and Sugar to Lowndes County.

The virtual trophy is in the mail. The bar has been raised by many great picks this season. Thanks again BIGFOOT for running the show. I think it was even more fun this year even with my mediocracy.
Can't wait for the bowl pool.

YOU ARE THE PICKER TALISI!!!!! Congrats to Talisi and all of the other winners throughout the season. And BigFoot....you did another great job this year. The last two years in the pool has really brought out the enjoyment of college football for me. My wife asked me several times how much money you got riding on this or that game and each time I was happy to say " not a dime". Good luck to everyone that will join us in the Bowl Pool.
