This is a chili we like to make......it actually is a combination from 3 different award winning recipes from California...Ryan's Revenge/El Cid/Fiesta Chili..........that could be called Rude's Awakening......
5 lb grd beef
2 onions
2 green & red peppers
1 tsp garlic- minced
2 T worcestershire
2 T tabasco
2 T oregano
2 T coriander
2 T chili powder
2 T cummin
1 tsp red pepper
3 bay leaves
1/2 cup cilantro- dry
2 tomato sauce
2 diced tomato (28 oz)
4 kidney beans
2 beers
2 chorizo sausage
1 T paprika

brown gb, saute onion & peppers & garlic, then add all seasonings, mix gb, then add t sauce plus diced tomato, add beer (to the chili dummy) simmer for 3 beers...uh for 1 hour

top with cheese or sour cream
Then have you chloresterol (sp?) checked.....enjoy.

You're right about the ingredients, however, you can take comfort in the fact that this actually conforms to Einstein's theory on relativity.... EMC2...............which basically states "that if you can't find all of the ingredients listed, you can leave one or two out and it will not affect the outcome"..........or something close to that! Let me know how it turns out........side note, Mav has said he was going to cook it also, but you know he can't cook boiled eggs so I'm not real optimistic there..........

LOL....guess it's like when I sometimes take things apart...put it back together and have parts left over..works fine (sometimes)

I may have to combine this recipe with mine, which is not an exact science since I just start throwing stuff in the pot. Chili is a wonderful thing after being pushed around by the new etec in this cold weather! BTW, the new boat has GPS, so any coordinates to good cookin' will be appreciated...let me know when you have a batch ready!

Let me think of a way to say this, hummm how to say this nicely, hummm ........ I really like Rude and do not want to upset him but with regards to his chili recipe, oh heck, lets just say -- The dogs and cats would not even eat it but ......................................

We humans enjoyed it, including the kids. Only suggestion I have is turn up the heat and maybe double the red pepper, tabasco and maybe even throw in a diced up Jalapeno without the seeds of course (Wife and daughter said NO as they liked it just as it was, but I like 3 Alarm chili or is that 3 beer chili, 3 beers per bowl of chili to extinguish the heat. Only other suggestion is if you like a lot of beans double the beans. Other then that think Rude has a winner. It makes enough to feed an Army, so we froze 1/2 and will look forward to enjoying it throughout the winter months !!!! Thanks Rude

My cousin and I sent his Dad ballistic when we were teenagers with that. My cousin had a Corvair with a bad transmission, so we pulled one out of the "Field of Corvairs" to swap out. We still had it on the jack stands for testing when my uncle came out. He had already had several adult beverages (maybe some of Rudes chili), and we were running through the gears when he saw a full coffee can of parts... He asked what they were and my cousin said "just spare parts", I told him that the car seemed to work OK, and that by eliminating weight, we would get better gas mileage....... About five minutes later, we were able to explain that we had parts from two cars, but only put one back together.

I'm intrigued by some of the ingredients -- "food" for thought, as it were. I'm always open to new cooking ideas. I had a very good chili once that involved the addition of solid honey. Would have said yuck..sweet, but it wasn't and it added great flavor.

It has proven popular around my place, but as I told Mav you do have to work on the red pepper to your own taste, this does not call for enough.........the honey addition would be interesting because it would enhance the heat of any pepper that you added! If you use this and add honey, let us know how it comes out.BTW, I have reduced the grnd beef to 4 lbs just to cut down on red meat.

It must make a huge quantity of chili. I'd like to try it, but I'll have to do some diplomatic manuvering before hand since Chili has always been Feb's domain.
