ROUND 3: DUPONT continues to cherry-pick the points in a tournament filled with unbelievable upsets. He now rests comfortably in first place with a total of 62 points and a potential total of 75. PC AL holds second with 54 points followed by BAMABOB and TALISI tied for third place having collected 53 points. DUPONT now holds a sitewide ranking of 34 at Pooltracker having risen as high as 7 at one point on Friday-- reminiscent of the amazing run by AJ'SDAD last year. Unlike last year's pool when AJD blew us all out of the water early on, this pool is still up for grabs! You can use the "what-if scenarios" button on your home page to see some possible outcomes based upon different tourney outcomes. Over in the Sweet 16 pool, we have a 5-way tie at the top. AJ'SDAD, BAMABOB, MADDOG, PC AL, and SMITTY each snagged 6 points on Thursday and Friday. PC AL would appear as a favorite there having the most point potential at 24. Some interesting games are on tap for this weekend. Congrats to the front-runners and good luck whereever you can find it!

You have got to pick at least one “dog” in the sweet 16 and I was going to pick Butler until I started making my picks – then switched to Northern Iowa for some reason. Knowing they had knocked off my overall #1 pick, Kansas, anyone should know a #9 seed is going to trip up soon. The ole adage, stick with your first choices.

I really thought N. Iowa had a shot at the Final 4 with their size and hustle...now Kentucky is really stinking it up with some sloppy play...can't make free throws...no 3 pts....no hustle...and no adjustment from their coach....

If I remember right, Butler was the surprise player last year. This year has been the year of the underdog. I honestly believe that Duke is the only team left that anybody really thought had any possibility of a chance. I haven't looked yet but I don't think anbody has them picked to win out.
I'm down to an "also played" now thanks to UK's crappy performance last night. Was Ashley Judd not even there? I never saw her.
It's been fun. Thanks BF for putting this together again.

Smitty is the only one riding the DUKEmobile all the way...and he will take it all if that happens...others who are still in the running include Bamabob, Blmeanie, PC AL, and Dupont.

I'm pulling for Duke and then WV. Not sure if anyone had WV in the final. The other side of my bracket has been busted from the get go.

If Duke wins today and then loses to WV, you got it...only one pick for West Va. to win it all but that entry is out of contention...but currently 5 still alive...this Duke game will cut it down to 2 or 3...
