ROUND 5: PC AL probably never counted on needing a 6th tournament win from the Butler Bulldogs to give him the pool championship. On the other hand, who would have thought that
SMITTY would come from way down in the lower-middle of the pack
to be poised to win it all if the DUKEmobile rolls on in the Final game--but that's the way it stands in one of the wildest tournaments in recent history! In the Sweet 16 pool, JOHNGALT and PC AL are going to end up tied for the top spot no matter which way the game goes Monday night. So what we are looking at there is a score-picking contest. The one whose tie-breaker score comes the closest to the combined total points scored Monday night will be crowned Champ of the Sweet 16 pool. It matters not if the predicted points are above or below the actual points scored--just how close it is. Look for final pool results here on Tuesday morning.

Way to go SMITTY/PC AL!. After seeing the matchups in the final 4 I figured it might be Butler vs Duke. This was a tough tournament to pick for sure. It was fun to be in the running with 2 teams in the final 4...and at least finish better than last year.

Thanks, but surely you jest. I did not pick Butler to win a game. As I stated earlier, you always want to pick a 12 over 5 upset and I picked UTEP as mine. Butler killed me all the way through, same as many of us. The shame is that Dupont is out of the running. I would have liked to have hime beside me on a quick trip to Vegas throughout this whole thing. He did an unbelieveable job in the earlier rounds.
