29 pounder today and 25 pounder this past weekend with some nice 15 pound stripers. So sounds like it is time to go striper fishing.

It's time to get out there and catch a big one. From my observations on the fish I've cleaned, it looks like we are on the cusp of the spring run. The females are full of eggs that aren't mature, and the male fish are not yet fouling my fish box, Dogwoods are bloomin'....... go fishin'.

Upriver will definitly be the place to be from now and the next two weeks. They should hit anything so I would load up on black salties and head up river. Drag the planer boards and hold on.

Me and a bunch of my friends from Huntingdon College are wanting to come down and catch some stripes this weekend. Would it be better to head up river or fish mid-lake humps? Ive caught some big ones up the river this time of the year but its alot of gas to waste coming from the lower part of the lake. Any help would be appreciated. I guess the question im asking is Are the Stripes "hot" up the river or are they just now getting started?
