Subject:	Yamaha Compression Test

I will be looking at a 2005 Yamaha 200 HP four stroke next week on a Hurricane Fun Deck. Does anyone know what the compression range should be on this engine? I plan to take my gauge with me and check it before I agree to purchase. Also, if anyone knows what the fuel consumption is like it sure would help me make a decision.

I checked the Yamaha site (had it bookmarked). They have performance data for the 225 on a fundeck and for the 200 on the sundeck. I attached the link for the 200, but you can easily view the other sheets on their site. Don't know about compression, but if all are close that would say a lot (Cat?).

there select 1. all 2. all 3. Deck 4. Hurricane and you can look at several performance sheets
