Boat started fine today and ran fine for about 10 mins before I shut it down. I then went to change out my out my stero and thought I had turned the battery switch to off, but turns out I turned it to both (my bad). When I went to cut the red power wire and black ground wire to stereo the lights flickered and that when I realized what I had done. When I went to try and start motor it cranks like it wants to start but just doesn't quite catch.
Any ideas of what I could have blown?

Sounds similar to the problem I had last week. I had a short that blew the fuse to my fuel pump and also blew the main circuit panel breaker; Catboat found the problem for me after some head scratching.

You cutting that wire could have caused a similar short....as Cats right hand man would say, "make sure to check them three fuses located somewhere on the engine" (mine were a little hard to find and were on the back of the motor with some relays). Good luck and call Cat if you can't figure it out.

Is it 7.4 EFI, or 7.4 MPI.

Found the problems. 1) Blown fuse when I cut the red power line, 2) when I was putting my Bimini up I accidently disengaged the kill switch which caused the boat to not start. Looks like I was brain dead on Thursday. Thanks for all responses.

Been there, done that. The accidental loose kill switch got me one time. Makes you fell like an idiot when the marine shop guy tells what he had to do to get it to run.
