I guess they are dropping in anticipation of a couple of inches of rain........ We have been on the lake almost 5 years and I cannot remember before this year them dropping the water so much before a rain is forcast......

I can't believe they are keep it this low, whoever is in charge of the water level must not spend any time on the lake

Water level is pretty much in line with the same of year as it was back in 05 and 06.

fishermen must like it at low levels, it keeps the other boats off

Possibly some do but I prefer to not have to wear a parachute to get from my pier down to my boat,,,, if the water is high enough for me to get my boat to the pier in the first place.

Here is the thing,, I look at this forum and the water level almost daily, often times multiple times a day. My family has a vested interest in lake property and enjoy the lake most when it is at full pool, including the fisherman who is typing this message. This years lake levels are not particularly out of the ordinary from past years.

Since 1990 ,when my parents purchased their place on the lake, we have experienced several floods and times of low water. Thats the way it is,it is what it is and this year is almost dead on when compared to some of the water levels of years past.

Allow me to add, my main enjoyment of the lake, personally, is the fishing aspect and I have no problem with the other boats on the lake as long as they use common sense and courtesy, be they other fishing boats, udden uddens( jet skis), skiers or pleasure boaters

One other point please.

If a fishing boat can be launched at low water times so can a pleasure boat, pontoon boat, or jet ski be launched.

The only thing keeping boats other than fishing boats off the lake during low water is the people who own and operate said boats.

Glad you got that off your chest, per the marina the dam is being recertified this year and had to show that they could control the water rise within 6+- inches the month of April

Thanks, the only thing off my chest was a rather long post of facts which are shown on the main logan martin lake level page.

Hope you enjoyed the education
