Heather at Spookeay Marine has recently completed some work on my boat and since this forum is what led me to Spookeay Marine in the first place I just thought I should post a quick review here.

I originally brought my Catalina 22 (sailboat) in to Spookeay Marine for fiberglass repair. There was a larger than half dollar sized gash in the transom that went all the way into the mats (a dock line worked loose during a storm, oouch!). While I was there I also let Heather talk me into a buff job and cleanup as well. After seeing the end result and picking up the boat all I can say is “WOW”. She did a great job at a very reasonable price. Keep in mind, this is a 30 year old boat and she was able to match the (faded) hull gelcoat color almost perfectly, now that’s artistry! Needless to say I’m impressed with her work and wanted to say thanks to you guys for pointing me in that direction.

I wish she was closer to me, i would certainly send all of our hull repairs to her.

"Heather talk me into a buff job and cleanup as well."

Now that's a real conversation starter!

This is what you need, looks like a fair price for the trailer

by the way I need a good polish on a 340 Sea Ray if you are interested.

Just glad to help out a fellow boater. My 340 is docked at the Ridge Marina in the water, and only needs a good coat of wax, she has already been buff. Was not sure if you had someone you could send out there. I can tell you this, there are several boats there in need of wax, and I know alot of these people that own these boats. May be a good start for you, in that side as well. If you are still interested give me the word and I will call you and we can discuss the details.

Again thanks for the tip on the trailer.

Ok, It's in a slip but only needs wax? No problem.
You can call me at 256-404-1330 and we can talk about a price.

Thanks for the kind words Malthus.
The sudden excitement in the thread got me side tracked.

I want to say it was a pleasure to serve you. I hope you schedule it for a refurbishment this off season. Your too kind in your unsolicited complements and I am great-full for every ones patronage.

I may not be the fastest becasue it's just me for now, but if you want quality over speed, I'm your girl for your repairs. Again thanks for the accolades Malthus.

Heather.

Wish you knew something about an Evinrude.

Just curious if you ever got that evinrude going and if so, what the problem was.

I've got a question for anyone ...is there anybody out there that has actually compared fuel consumption between a "new"
four stroke outboard and a "new" two stroke? I love the quiteness of the fourstroke...but they seem to burn about as much gas if you run much over half throttle...but then I've nver had the chance to compare engines of the same HP on the same type of boat.
