We ate supper at Clear Creek Marina Saturday night and really enjoyed the food. The burgers, sandwiches, and salads were good and the prices were reasonable. We ate on the deck under the willow tree. They are taking donations for fireworks this summer. I hope people come out to support them - I know we will.

Have eaten there 5 times, breakfest lunch and dinner, food is great and prices are unbelievable. They really are trying very hard and need support. Come by and donate to the fireworks fund. Also some idiots broke in and robbed them last week .

By road it is off CR42/ Renfroe road.....Coming from Alpine Golf Course it is the 1st left turn after you go across the lake where Marina Bay was and a new campground is being built.
Coming from Stemley bridge it is the 2nd right after the small gass station called Cabbage Patch and past the firestation.

By water it is sort of at a junction when headed toward the dam.... There is a peninsula on the left and an old gas sign with a few trailers out along the Peninsula...
\
It is in the bay with plenty of parking by boat or car....

If you are still unsure give me some landmarks you know of and I will give a better desciption.

Good grief! It always makes me mad to hear about somebody getting robbed. It is pretty simple; don't take what isn't yours.

We were there both Saturaday and Sunday last weekend. Really nice
folks and I sincerly hope they make it, they are trying hard. Burgers on Saturday were very good--can't say the same for breakfast on Sunday, it was not that great and it took over an hour to get it.

But again, great people, giving it their best and I wish only good things for them. We will go back, just not for breakfast.

Thanks, Movinfr8. We've had dinner at Mike's but not breakfast.

So where's your kitchen? Let us know what time to show up for breakfast and we'll be there!

MovinFr8, they were robbed last week - pretty much cleaned out. I ate there again last night and they were telling me about it. They think they know who robbed them. They also said they were hit hard Sunday and tried to keep up but could not. I hope anyone who had a bad experience Sunday will give them one more shot...

They will be ok...... Summer is coming....whooppss.......... Summer is here..... it was hot today!!!

Everybody be safe

I've been there three times since they reopened this season. Twice for gas and once for food. The food was as good as last season and reasonably priced. Service was good too.

Be careful about buying gas there though. The first time I filled up there this season the fellow in the Hawaiian shirt at the register charged me tax on the gas, which already has tax added. I pointed out the mistake and he apologized and corrected it saying: "I wasn't trying to cheat you."

I went back two weeks later (today) and watched the register closely. Same guy in a different Hawaiian shirt hit the "Store" button instead of the "Gas" button and tried to charge me tax on the gas again. I pointed it out and he claimed he had just hit the wrong button. I Looked down at the register and the "Store" button is at the bottom of the register, the "Gas" button at the top.

The register tape from many customers was hanging from the register, so I looked down and saw where he had done the same to the customer two people in front of me. I pointed out it was the second time in a row he had made the same "mistake" with me and left. Once is mistake, twice is suspicious, three times? You decide.

Just lookout is all I'm saying. If he is doing this regularly its not only dishonest, its illegal.

Just reading/replying to this sooo late but,....I looked at their register print out and funny thang...there's nothing printed on the register tape: store, gas on so on, just numbers sooo...maybe an "honest mistake" between the both of you. Don't ya think? I know the man your talking about and I've never met a more honest, caring person. You aren't the man that was being rude and was kicked out...are ya?

I've never been rude there, and only rarley been rude in my life. I also haven't been kicked out of anywhere in 20+ years! :)

Every word in my previous post was true. Don't know the fellow, and didn't make a definitive statement as to his character. I said: "IF he is doing this regularly..." and: "You decide."

I have been there for food a couple of times in the last couple of months, and noticed he wasn't working the register. Maybe it was just a repetitive mistake and someone caught it and that's why he isn't working the register anymore. Like I said: be careful if you buy gas there.

ISAIL.....since you've been there several times...have you ask for the owner of the Willow Grill? Since you have the nerve to post this on line...do you have the nerve to talk with her in person. Or will you just SAIL away?!?

First of all, the guy working the register looked and acted like he was the owner, or related. Owners or their relatives often work the register in small businesses for obvious reasons.

Secondly, in a business that small if the owner didn't know her customers were being ripped off, intentionally or not, then shame on her. That would mean there is no review of the cash register tapes at the end of the day, no inventory control, etc. Both times this happened to me the gas was over $100. What single item in that store cost $100? Did no one notice they had to purchase way more gas than they were selling?

You obviously have some connection to the place or people, either business or personal. I respect you for trying to defend them, but do them a favor and let it go. Every time you post you bring this back to the top for more people to read. Let it go and everyone will have forgotten by next season. Probably even me.
