Sligo, Pate's Ford, Center Hill Marina, Hidden Harbor, Edgar Evins, Cove Hollow, Holems Creek, Hurricane Marina, Cookeville Boat Dock, Lakeside, Ragland Bottom, Johnsons Chapel, Floating Mill
Just trying to get some exposure in case anyone is looking. This is a great forum for conversation between marinas and boaters as evidenced by the Lake Martin forums. If you're here and looking to share info on Center Hill then let's try to build the site.

I was on "the hill" Sunday... from around 10am til around 3:30pm. Quite abit of rain... well... I was already wet! : ) We put in at Holmes Creek.. the old ramp (where the boat dock used to be). Found a nice cove just past where the creek meets the main channel...the next creek to the right towards the dam... Nice little place to get away from the main channel wave action... Hope that you and yours had a great Memorial Day. Oh... call me when you get that ribeye off of the smoker!!! YUM YUM!!!

We were there Friday through Sunday. We stayed close to Sligo in a creek just below Ragland. It rained some but overall it was a great weekend. We had 9 houseboats tied up together. Saturday night we had a community dinner with our boat supplying smoked butt, ribs, chicken and brisket.

I knew i was on the wrong end of the lake!!! : ( We ended up heading to the CopperTop resturant for lunch... not bad for a quick bite... But it wouldn't compare to what you had! : )
Might be heading that way tomorrow.. or to Percy Priest... depends on who goes with me...

We won't be there until tomorrow afternoon. My youngest is at Boy's State and the closing ceremonies are from 9:45 until 12 tomorrow. We will head out ASAP though. Have you tried Hurricane Marina's restaurant?

make it that far up the lake... the storm clouds kept us away. We went to Priest yesterday... we really didn't have enough time to travel to "the hill". I went to Hurricane resturant years ago..probably ten years ago. Always told it was great. Not so much on the day we went... Just never have made it back. hope that y'all have good weather.. they are calling for storms this afternoon... Happy boating!!!!

Hurricane has been rebuilt in the past 4 or 5 years. It's now an upscale restaurant. We haven't eaten there but everyone we know that has says it is good.

upscale do you mean.. I am pretty much into comfort food... you know.. old southern, not greasy food. Upscale doesn't really go with my idea of a day on the lake..... Is that wrong of me????

Not upscale like The Plam or Ruth's Chris. Just nicer than most marina restaurants, mostly because it's the newest and most expensive clientel at the dock. On weekend nights reservations are best.

I am ok with it being upscale for the lake.. just not upscale...
I am thinking I might head that way this weekend... if I have someone with me that can drive the truck after I get the boat in the water...as there is no dock at Holmes Creek anymore. Anyway...
