Do I need the factory tool to install this gimbal bearing A-1 Gen-1 or can I use a large socket and sacrificial extension?
Heather. They are telling me I "must" have there tool.

U have to decide that really. Just make sure you get it in right. Without the tool, may I ask how you got it out?????? (this should be good). Also, make sure the engine alignment is good so you don't trash the new bearing. I am away from the shop, but call me if you need me.

Getting it out is easy. I have a slide hammer puller used for rear axle bearings.
All I know is I must line up that grease port.
Other than that it looks pretty strait forward.
I hope. ;)

Loan her your tool. Or, don't you have a tool that is up to the job????

she knows she can have anything I got. NC you can get it in without the tool. It is really not difficult. Just get it in straight. Hard part was getting the old one out.
