Already planning for the weekend. Been pleanty of discussion here about pork ribs, so here's the question. Any of you guys do beef ribs? I'm planning on doing both, but curious that no one else has mentioned them.

I see Beef Ribs in the meatcase all the time and pass them by, I think assuming that folks use them for something other than smoking or grilling as a main course. Just never considered them.
I would be interested in your opinion of how they compare to either pork slabs or baby backs after you cook them this week.
Please let us know how they turn out, how you cooked them, seasonings, smoke vs. grill, etc.

I have made beef ribs (its been a loooong time) and also had them in a restaurant where they were a specialty. They are OK, but for me they are no match to baby back pork ribs so I don't consider them on my menu anymore.

I did. Once 10-15 years ago. I had no idea how much fat would come out of them. Drenched the grill with grease. I think the cuts are leaner now. I think I would try doing short ribs on a BGE because of the requirement for very low and very slow. They have a GREAT flavor and if done right will fall off the bone. Let us know if you try them.
