Guess I owe you a pizza sometime. Put boat in water and it pumped just like it should. Thanks for the help.  John

I looked for Lil Talis' house for an hour yesterday, and could not find him. And HOB, pull your tachometer out, and make sure the dial/switch is turned to the appropriate number! 4-6 or 8! Meaning the number of cylinders your engine has. You gotta make sure it is telling you the truth!

Well, I don't know exactly what you read, but the "plate" I assume you are reffering to is the cavitation plate just above and horizontle (spell check) in reference to the prop shaft. With todays prop technology, I would place that "plate" as you call it considerably higher than the water line. You only need about 2/3rds of the prop in the water at speed. I would say you are right about what you are seeing and thinking. If you change your prop height, just make sure it still pumps good water at speed. Let me know, or you call me and we'll chat by phone. Steve "a long dang way from where you are". :)

I have enough old, worn out boats, to keep at least one mechanic busy.

334-358-2838 is the number. I'll be out for a while this morning, but will return after lunch. Steve
