Also, the fellow who has been puttering in and out of my slough no his PWC for hours today with what sounds like a combination of bad gas and a completely clogged fuel filter bogging it down could use a little help. Occassionaly, he gets a burst of actual fuel and this only serves to offer more encouragment. It's actually getting a little better. I think he's actually managed to force all the gunk through the filter and into the carbs by now. That's a nifty repair technique....

So did you get the bearing off yet, I just did one yesterday, since I was replacing the entire bearing assy I just knocked the bearing housing off the shaft with a hammer.A good hammer will fix darn near anything except your wifes attitude.

If the guy you are referencing is on a Seadoo nothing but cleaning the carbs , filters, fuel valve and replacing the fuel lines will fix his problem, I can do that for a fee of course.

It was indeed a Sea-Doo, and an old-school one at that. I mean really, really old. They eventually managed to not only keep running it around but to stall it, with the battery not able to restart. Watched them push it about 100', then cruised out to give them a tow. On the way one mentioned they were "running out some old gas, that was 2+ years old." Your suggestion is exactly what I told them, as no amount of running it was going to fix the mess inside.....
