Friday My Bride and I managed to escape a bit early and head to the lake.
Upon arriving we were pleasantly surprised to find that Alabama Power had not drained it back to the original river channel.
Saturday found us taking a leisurely toon ride to my brothers home whereby we enjoyed a much needed visit with our loved ones. While we were there APCO was kind enough to leave water in the lake so we could cruise on up lake and enjoy time together. Upon arriving back at our place we smiled and sang with glee that due to electricity the air conditioning and lights were still working. Following steaks cooked over a nice hickory fire we settled down on the porch and enjoyed the scene ,, a lake sparkling with the light of the stars and coosa island reflecting off the water.
Sunday I woke early and awaited the arrival of a good friend. He arrived and we put the fishing boat in the lake that still has water and enjoyed a terrific early mornings fishing. Only managed two bass in the boat but had wonderful fellowship with a dear friend.
Water was 14 to 16 inches down from full pool , nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year. This could change due to rain but I intend to enjoy myself ,none the matter.

WOW , I cant belive it. My wife and I did almost exactly the same except we went to her sisters house . On the way back myself and Glee were singing just like you guys but the Wife must not have liked it very much because she kept turning the volume up on the radio . When we got back home I didnt measure the lake level but none the less myself and Glee were still singing out hearts out . We walked up the hill to the house and my wife stopped and checked the mail . Low and behold a letter from Apco . Im thinking they must have know we were out enjoying the lake so they sent us a nice letter asking how things went . Boy was I wrong, it was our power bill. Myself and Glee didnt sing another note . :(

Yep, got mine today
Ahhhhhh,, the price we pay for the opportunity to play on their lake and enjoy that most wonderful thing we call ,, electricity.
How high would it be if it were all generated by fossil fuel?? YIKES!
Hope you enjoy many other days the same as we enjoyed :)
