I set up a league last night. If you want to join, send me an email. I already sent an invite to Bigfoot and Motown because I had their email addresses (let me know if you didn't get it). We will have a draft for players sometime next week and will probably use the auto draft function since we are all new at this on the college level. The draft will happen Monday (early), it will happen automatically and you don't need to do anything. It will assign teams based on highest ranked players available (according to CBS sports)...you can change the list to your idea of who is highest ranked if you wish to do so. I have limited the draft to players in the major conferences.
After you have a "team" of players, all you need to do is select which players you want to "Start" each week. If you forget to do so, the players you selected the previous week will "Start". Each week you will start 1 Quarter back, 2 running backs, 3 wide receivers, 1 tight end, 1 kicker, and 1 Defense. Points are calculated by how those players do by getting yardage and scoring (defense gets points by preventing scoring and by defensive and special teams scoring). There is also up a 25% handicap when really good teams play teams that really suck...not sure how that will work, but it will be interesting. It really only takes a few minutes each week to play, but you can spend more time looking for undrafted players, trying to find the next phenom, and scrutinizing match-ups.....It probably won't do much good, but hey, it's worth a try if you have some spare time. So far, no one in the group has ever played this on the college level, so don't worry about the competition and join us for some fun.

We are definitely looking good...I am counting 15 teams now....I noticed under rules that is says that auto robot disabled....what does that mean?

the auto robot is used if you do a live draft and someone in unable to attend (or be on-line) when the draft happens. There is no choices for me to change that selection and the administrator page just shows we will have an autodraft..... meaning it will draft players automatically from the list each player has made, or from the highest ranked player list.

I set up the league to allow replacing a maximum of two players per week on the waver system. Wavers will be run daily from Monday-Thursday and undrafted players will be awarded to the lowest ranked teams first (on a by name request basis). A player placed on wavers will remain there for a day before someone else can pick them up.
