We have a friend that lives on the lake and has a beach there at the dock. Are we allowed to cook down there on the beach property ie do a pig ... If we make pit of cinderblocks and cover would that be allowed??? Anyone have any experience here? Also if this wouldnt be feasible does anyone know of someone that has a rolling grill they would rent out for thursday reasonable???? Thanks

Don't see why not. Go for it. Personally, I like the idea of the cinder block pit more than a grill. Just remove coals before a rise in water level.
Burning on the beach at Winter Pool is common.
Suggestion: Crowd Control?? When that pig starts sending up that aroma, you might meet some neighbors that you never knew you even had?? Or even wanted to have??

not even sure what the rules are, but I do know that when I was looking at lake property I scratched corps lakes off the list real quick when several questions were answered with "you can't do that"

would be to actually "grill' the pig. I think I made an earlier post on this but you would need a frame kinda in a rectangle with long ends for turning. You wrap wire on the frame to hold the pig and put it on a U shaped block grill about 3-4ft high. You have to have the pig split and opened up. The temp is regulated by having a pit on the side and you move coals in or out of the block "U" Or you could do "trash" that's in an earlier post. I have done that on Lanier island beaches with no problem. Lot smaller project than a pig. BTW if they are still there Etris is the best place to get your pig....
