Subject:   SMITTY SURVIVES PALOOZA SCRUM!!
Date:   10/24/2010 6:42:40 AM

WEEK 8: Talk about hot at the top...SMITTY, LAMONT, DUPONT, and TWC all locked heads at the top of the heap--each hitting on 13 of 19 (68.4 %) with the tiebreaker points separating them in the order listed above. OT, PC, and TALISI had a little scrum of their own collecting 12 points (63%) and narrowly missing the big shootout. The Palooza pool overall is getting hotter as well with MUDDAUBER and SMITTY now deadlocked at the top with 92 points followed by DUPONT and MOVINFR8 right behind with 90 each. Dropping the worst 1 week rearranges the overall order only slightly with DUPONT, SMITTY, and the 'DAUBER bunched at the top. The overall is still wide open with most of the field poised for a run at the top. It is hard to believe but we are now looking at week 9...definitely going too fast! It's GO time now! Congratulations to this weeks winners and good luck next week.

Speaking of scrum. Was that American Football or Rugby tween LSU-AU? While that was not The play of the game, it sure defined who wanted that game the most. Sat could be called The Day the Tigers Roared.  Mizzou and Auburn spoke pretty loud.
Congrats to all our players. Both pools are getting real interesting.

yes...that was a great play to watch...Newton handed off, ran off to the side to rest for a couple of seconds, then saw the scrum and ran 10 yards to get in the middle of it and help push the pile 6 more yards...

for finishing first for the week in the fantasy league! Things are starting to tighten up and 6 teams have a mathematical shot of landing in first next week. ot is still leading (and having a Heisman year) on the coat tails of Cam Newton, but Lakngulf is only 1.5 back...I have you both in my sights at only 4 back. EVERYONE get your teams in order, because this is the last week for pickup's and trades....the players you have going into the weekend will need to carry you through the season.

whew....it's great to have my right hand back for typing!!

Glad you have the cast off...I haven't been able to go on the fantasy site for the last few days due to a problem with my computer (marginal internet and old computer)...hope to have this all straightend out in time for the Monday night trade deadline....congrats to ajsdad, ot, and lng!

The fact that I finally got in the top of the heap for the first time this season proves that even a blind squirrel can find an acorn every now and then.
