Pro,
I got bait last weekend, and didn't fish, but the weekend before the surface temp was around 60F - I'm sure it's in the 50s now. The past few weeks we did some jigging with silver spoons, and it was very productive, especially on whites and spots. This Saturday I'm gonna drop shad on points and in creeks up north, which should produce some stripes. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Went planer boarding in Wind Creek this morning with my son Andy, and my good buds Jeff Leep, Jim Laws, and Mark Mettelman. We pulled big shad and redhorse suckers for three hours, and only got one bite. But, it was a gooden - 9 year-old Andy played a 22 lb stripe to the net. Yesterday, he sang a solo at his school Christmas pageant in front of 1000 people. Needless to say, I'm one proud papa.
