Hmmm...that is the first time I have heard that come up...guess I have been more consumed with worry over GM possibly leaving while taking TR for granted..maybe he has created enough doubt that he will not be taken this year...

My point exactly.....it is like "take my def coordinator" please. On GM I am mixed. He needs to get the money while he can, but ??Vandy?? I wonder if he will stay if AU comes up with 1.7. And I wonder how much his stock will be worth this time next year.

I have been trying to look at reasons on both sides as to why GM might take the Vandy job. On the one hand, he is probably aware that it may be a dead end job but that they will give him plenty of time to do his thing while knocking down $3m/yr...he could be filthy rich before the jig is up...on the other hand, if he desires to be a big winner at a big program, he should be aware that the road does not go through Nashville...

Going now makes sense in that Cam goes pro (highly likely), his stock would be worth more now than next year. With Fl and Mi already grabbing head coaches, not alot of SE jobs open. Rebuild Vandy would be a feather towards bigger rewards down the road, and likely other opportunites opening by then as well.
