I have been removing the cap from the hull of a 1989 Stratos bass boat in order to replace the transom and floor. The quality of the transom assembly was not very good when it comes to sealing it from water, but I was impressed with how they had the cap attached to the floor and how they glassed it down to the hull in several places. It was built with plywood transom and floor, today I think they use composite material. The thickness of the hull at the transom was very thin and there was very little fiberglass to prevent water from entering the top of the plywood transom. It was definitely the hardest boat to separate I have done so far. Back breaking job for sure.

I purchased a new Stratos F&S in 1989....I loved that boat! (nice socks too, eh?)

The boat looks up to date but I'm not too sure about the socks!
