Planning a long weekend and hoping to try hand at finding stripers? Are they out there? Has it gotten too hot? Are they upriver, mid-river, too deep? Not an expert by any means but would like any input that might help. Thanks

Oh, they're there alright and switched on. Top water early. Try chunking a Spook at them. As the sun gets up, the stripes get down. Dropping live bait is always a winner and trolling isn't bad either. Try scouting mid-lake humps. Keep one eye on the surface and one on the graph. Bring a partner to watch for tornado left overs.
