hello all...

I have an 2005 tahoe q4 stern drive that has an inline 4 cycle gm motor

its a 3.0l gm 181 i/l 4

my issue is a replaced the carb and since then the motor is hard starting when hot. The boat would not run at all just kept cranking. so I order a card from website (forget I think it was ebay) it had the same part number markings on it and it was rebuilt. I installed the carb and the boat fired right up.

now once the boat gets hot it takes several mintues of cranking the motor to get it to start again.

any ideas?

i'll go out and look at one. There are a couple of adjustments that can be made. Also, I would be very interested in your old carb.

Ok thanks..

my son took the boat out this morning (as of this update he is still out).. started up once key was turned. ran fan he took off from dock just fine...

I told him not to turn if off until he's back at dock.

regarding the old carb sure once I have the boat running as it should let me know where to send it. Its of no use to me. the carb is apart but I can send out the parts.
