Headed to the lake Oct. 16-23 for a week of fishing. I know the lake pretty well, but just starting to striper fish. Never been on the lake this time of the year and would love some pointers of what to use and where to go. I know it is hard for fishermen to give our there secrets , but thought I would give this a try ! My wife and I are staying just north of Pleasure point ...... she will be taking it easy and I will be in heaven fishing for 7 days !!! I can't wait and thanks for any help I can get ..... HAPPY FISHING

Stripers have been in the Dixie Sailing club & Anchor bay area. Some top water schooling action but most fish caught on artificial lures have been taken trolling with down riggers using spoons, buck tails, swim baits. Try to target fish about 30 foot deep in 50-90 foot of water. Concentrate on humps and drops. you can take some fish with your electronics with vertical jigging with a 1 oz spoon. Spots can also be caught under these big bait balls. .

Water temps are starting to cool and fish will begin moving more north, start looking between Camp Alamaso to the Ridge area. Have a great week.

Great time on the lake today from 8:30-12:30 . Caught some whites , spots and 2 stripers spooning in 16' to 26' of water. Water temp was 60-63 degs and was surprised to find the fish bunched up in such shallow water. Ready to make anouther trip soon. Fish the upper part of the lake ........

I saw a few bass around the shore line acroos from goat island. I have yet to stripe fish I am looking forward to my first time. I wish there was a manual for stripe fishing for first time stripe fishing.
