If fishing is to be defined as: "the practice and ability to successfully accumulate fish from a body of water by enticement using bait (artificial or live) and landing them into a boat" I would say that I have not been fishing the last 10 weeks. However if that definition is expanded to include the the words, ...or attempting to do such", I would have to then say that I have been hard at it.
