Not really a boat maintenance item but is related to boats. Just wanted to know if Ala power would allow you to use plastic barrels as floats under floating piers on Logan Martin lake. I have several that had food color initially and have found plans on how to build a pier.

Have not seen anything, you may want to call these guys to get clarification... The last universal barrels we used were steel drums - use them for floats or hit 'em with a torch, add some steel angle and expanded metal and you have a grill. For some reason they have probably been banned for the past forty years.

Only sealed bladders are allowed now. No Styrofoam or barrels allowed any longer. When you apply for a permit they will give you all the guidelines you need.

A sealed bladder will only last so long - I figure about five beers. Where do you get your information Lifer - you hanging out underneath that pontoon boat too much?
