I was thinking what would happen if Georgia should beat LSU? Maybe, a rematch of Georgia and Boise State which beat Georgia early in the season.

According to Scout.com, if Georgia wins the SEC then the possible opponents would be in order: Michigan, Houston, Kansas State, or Oklahoma State.  They have Boise projected to be in some Credit Union bowl somewhere ...I think San Diego...Poinsettia Bowl??

why would Georgia make it to the championship game?  because they took out the #1?  They have two losses and there are teams more deserving to be in a championship game than Georgia.

Including LSU and Alabama from the SEC (forgot to add that)

I deleted an earlier reply, blm, when I realized that I  am just a tad confused about how the bcs and the bowls are arranged this year...maybe  a more informed soul will appear with a better answer to Gone's original post...

with the conference attachments to the bcs bowls I too may be ignorant.  SEC gets in to BCS bowl no matter what so Georgia would go if they won?  Is that that assumption?

I think you are right...CBS Sports has a pretty good page on projections but, again, not much thought is spent on the case where Georgia might upset LSU...see link below
