Depending on who responds, you'll get a wide variety of answers to that question. Water was 55 and getting stained last Sunday. I found four fat spots down deep with big bill cranks. The same day a buddy had a 12#+ box fishing worms shallow. Another friend says he is getting fair results by jigging.
I'm guessing the water may actually be a little warmer, but a lot muddier tomorrow. Good luck with whatever method you go with.

Drove over the Lake today on Hwy 280..The water is VERY muddy and full of debris..May want to stay on the lower end to stay out of the Muddy water.

Went out yesterday, water was 55 and exteremely muddy in the Wind Creek Area. Fished the Paces Peninsula area and picked up 5 stripes up to 10lbs on black salties in about 55ft of water with fish between 20ft and 35ft. Should of had 15 but they kept slamming the bait and letting it go. Been seeing a lot in the mouth Wind Creek and had a few slams but none netted. Haven't seen much in Elk. Creek or the mouth of Sandy lately. Keep us posted.

went out on 2-2-12 til noon elkahatchee creek trying for large mouth caught one 2lb black jig/black blue crawl .switched to clankin crank crawfish colored crankbait caught four spots .think this front slowed down large mouth.will keep forum updated hope other people will also just a common man who loves to fish.going 2-7-12 focus on spots will update forum on results.need others to help can never find any forums with any updated information on lake martin bass fishing.
