I was wondering if anybody ever fished the Alabama Power Fish habitat spots that are on the web. Are they producing anything? Bass or crappie? Also, I bought an A rig a month and a half ago and threw it for the first time yesterday. Caught 8 pound stripe off my parents pier on 3rd cast.

I ran some down one time via GPS and found very skimpy attractors---seemed to be only one small rotted Xmas tree tied to the bottom with no fish around it.  It seemed to be a waste of time.

They should make serious attractors if they are going to spend time and energy and run fishermen around the lake.

I don't think AP is out there making these 'structures'. These are natural structures. Sure, they vary from one location to the next, but some of them are very good structures. Better to know about them, then not!?!

AP site states that AP employees place those structures in the lake once a year and locate them by GPS coordinates and list them on the AP site for the lakes.  I have come across other brush piles and whatnot placed by fishermen that tend to be better habitats than the AP ones.
