On meeting ladies in a bar

A man in a bar hears 2 female customers conversing in a pronounced accent with a Gaelic tilt. He walks up and says "I noticed your lovely accent. Are you ladies from Ireland?" The annoyed reply "It's Wales you idiot!". He apologizes "so sorry, are you whales from Ireland?"
A man in a bar sees two attractive ladies across the room. He informs the bartender that he is going to become better aquainted with them. The bar keep advises "Don't waste your time my friend, those gals are lesbians." the man isn't at all discouraged. He walks up the the ladies table and suavely asks "Tell me ladies, are things finally getting back to normal in Beirut?"
