Did anyone else hear the Supposedly true story (yeah, sure) they told this morning.

A couple in Florida are driving to a shopping center when the car begins to act up. They park in the shopping center lot and he tells her to go on and do her shopping and he is going to tinker around to try and find out what's the problem with the car. After a while she returns to find several onlookers around the car. Her husband's legs are sticking out from under the car as he is on his back being a "mechanic". She is embarrassed to begin with but is even more so when she realizes that his loose shorts have ridden up somewhat and his "family jewels" are in clear view of anyone who cared to look. She bent over and muttered something along the line of "It's me honey" then gently pushed up his private parts and tugged down the legs of his shorts. As she raised herself she was shocked to see her husband standing upright and laughing on the other side of the car. She was in a state of complete humiliation. The good samaritan mechanic, who had just happened to be passing by and offered to help, needed several stitches in his forehead.

This story brought to mind another absolutely true event that happened to a now sadly deceased friend of mine years ago. He and his wife went to a mall which included a Sears. He came with a purpose (buy a new car battery at Sears) and she came to poke around in the shops. He bought the battery and sat in the car reading while waiting for the wife to reappear. After more than 45 minutes he decided to get some tools from the trunk and go ahead and install the new battery. He put on work gloves, raised the hood and loosened the battery cable and clamps. Now this fellow was a big guy but barrell chested and pear shaped (big belly and upper body and waist but small hips). As he began to lift the old battery he did what most of us do when we directly lift something heavy from a standing position, he inhaled making his upper body even rounder and bigger...immediately his pants fell to his ankles. As luck would have it his wife was just approaching from behind and saw this transpire. She ran over, pulled up his pants and held them until he could extract the battery and sit it on the ground.
