Clear creek will not be doing a fireworks show this year. Don't shoot the messenger. Can't even remember how long this tradition has been ongoing.

The folks that run the grill and harbor have never been responsible for the firworks and were informed Memorial Day by the people that have done it in the past that they were not going to put a show on this year. They have been focusing their time and money on the catfish tournament and just found out that if it was to happen it would be their responsibility. They were not prepared and said if they had any warning that they could have pulled it off but..... Donations have only been less than $200 in the jug and it would take $4000-6000 to put the show on. Anyone with suggestions on how to put the show on they are willing to entertain because they know that what does or does not happen at Clear Creek is a reflection of them and they are frustrated.

they could team up with whoever put it on at Woods Marina last year and combine efforts. That way we would have one in that area & one at the civic center. Even though I have a boat at Woods the one at clear creek is safer leaving afterwards, it is kinda narrow coming from Woods at night with 100 other boats

The fireworks at Clear Creek have been happening for 6 or 7 years. The previous owners put it on out of their pocket along with donations. It has always been a great show and a shame it won't happen this year. Jerry and Diana Woods put on the display last year from their marina. They are good friends and I will ask if they are doing it again this year. They also sponsored the fireworks at Lakefest this year. I wasn't able to go but I heard it was a great show. I'll post their answer when I get one.

Both were great shows and our crew enjoyed the multiple shows in different areas..... This year with the 4th being on a wed its kind of screwy on what when and where. I heard that woods is mad at the creek for having their fuel xx amount cheaper than him and he is not interested in participating in the CC show..... just a rumor. I am interested in everything and anything party/show that is on the lake. any suggestions we can take to the powers that be at CC or LMLPA and see what we can make happen in a short amount of time. Talk to Woods and see what he thinks about a combined show or a combination him sat and CC maybe Friday.... An effort at the Catfish Tournament could make it happen because the Marina does not want the blame for it not happening and will help with any effort. They were blindsided by the NO SHOW and not sure what to do since they are focused on the Tournament with no support from the owners of the property.

Did not mean to insinuate Roy and them had anything to do with the no show. I know they are not happy and real concerned about the tourney. No one knows how many folks are gonna show up. I hope it is a real success for them.

The fireworks display at the end of Shadix lane,between Clear Creek bridge and the Clear Creek Cove(Resort)???,will be on Sunday,July the 1st.The last 3 years it has been one of the best on the lake.If there are any changes on the date I will keep you posted.There is plenty of anchorage space in the Bay.

Their show last year was great. Maybe even excellent. It was a hidden secret because there weren't many boats in the bay area. Shhhh, Don't tell anyone.

I will be putting on my fireworks show on the 4th its at maysbend just south of Jesus point. I have been doing this for 8 years and this I have spent over 3g should be a good show.
