Who on the lake have installed the automatic trim tabs (Nauticus)?  I have a 25' bowrider that tends to "bounce" alot, and the reviews say that they will help.  I've played with the hyd. outdrive trim, but can't seem to get the bounce out without more folks on front.  Any input would be great.

I assume you have an inboard/outboard.  If you trim it all the way down and you still porpoise, your boat is set up wrong, has a prop with too much bow lift, or you've got very heavy weight passengers sitting across the stern.  Trim it down, in, and speed up some.  Should handle it.  Trim tabs help you plane off and level an unbalanced load, but your outdrive trim should handle the job.  You do know how to use the trim don't you?

What kinda boat? What's the drive? Sometimes a boat will hop if the X is aggressive. Speed will take this out, but tabs are a great thing as they lengthen the running surface and can make the boat follow the sea, creating a better and less bumpy ride at slow speeds. Personally I would never go with anything automated, but either way tabs will be a good option for you!

Yes I know how to use the trim!  No need for those type of questions.  I know trimming down and/or changing speed will help, but what I'm describing is at speeds of 20-30 mph.  If I hardly trim up at all...well.

The outdrive is a volvo dual prop.  Good torque out of the hole.  If not auto, what style trim tabs do you recommend?  I've research Bennett somewhat, but don't like the idea of having to control the tabs on this size of boat.  I've always considered that for large boats.

Personally I like Lenco tabs for the type boat you are describing. I believe them to be better quality, they are way faster, and involve less on the install being they are electric. Also offer an auto retract feature that pulls the tabs up every time the key is turned off, so forklifts or loading on your trailer cant cause any damage. As far as auto tabs, I have no dealings with, but I like things manual and it would take you no time to learn how to use them, then you would have total control over what you are trying to do, instead of something doing it for you. Just a thought!
