Finally getting a day off Friday and want to do some fishing. Are the stripe doing anything right now? I have down riggers if needed. Thought about down rigging two Alabama rigs around just to see what will bite. Or should I forget the stripe for now and go for anything else?

Stripernut & the boys had a good day Saturday (6 total) trolling downriggers at a depth of 30 ft down in 50 ft water with spoons. Swim baits have also produced.

Thanks for the update. That's what I was leaning towards. Figure they are gonna be in their summer pattern for a few more weeks at least. Any idea what part if the lake? I was gonna troll youngs island, and elkahatchee to 280 bridge. But they may still be around Dixie sailing club, and camp alamisco humps

focus on the dixie sailing club area. don't think the majority of fish have made their move north yet.

Caught 3 stripes 8-10 pounds and 1 fat 3 pound spot this morning trolling on Mountain Man's boat. Same recipe - downrigger trolling at 30 ft in 50 ft of water. Tight Lines!

Went out yesterday afternoon and fished the humps around the sailing club in 50' of water. Downrigged an Umbrella rig on one side and a spoon on the other. Had about a 2lb spot on the umbrella and a 3lb stripe on the spoon. Didn't see a lot of fish but it beat the heck out of sitting at work. Going camping this weekend somewhere on the lake. We were just gonna pull up to an island and camp. Also thought about throwing some jugs out. Any suggestions?
