I'm gonna give it a go Friday morning and see if I can't find any. I was gonna run the down riggers around the humps in the Youngs Ferry/ Paces Peninsula area then head North between Elkahatchee and 280 bridge. Any suggestions on depths or other areas to check out? I didn't figure many had moved North of the bridge yet.

Sounds like you have a good plan! Most of the larger marks that I saw last weekend were in the 30' range. I was trolling Big Kowaliga for large spots (personal opinion: they eat way better than stripes.) and hooked a stripe on a bait that was running about 18' down. given the water clarity, he may have been able to see the bait from 30'.
Good luck!

Got up Friday morning at 4:30 to make it to the water from Auburn before the sun. About the time I got to Dadeville I realized I'd forgotten my cannon balls for the down riggers. After an hour round trip I hit the water about 7am Water temp was 58 on the surface. Didn't mark anything around Youngs but found several around Paces. Trolled silver PET spoons 30' deep in 60'. Only managed to land two 8lb stripes and a spot before the school left to be unseen again. Rode up to Wind Creek and marked several Spots but no Stripe in front of the park and up the East side of the river towards Snake island. Went back Monday afternoon and fished the Paces area again only to pick up a few spots and a 4lb stripe. Couldn't find them schooling anywhere. Afternoon water temp was 61 degrees.
