Anyone know where I can catch spottail minnows this time of year using the glass jar trap?

just experiment in your favorite area. We seem to do the best for spottails around sandy beaches, and sandstone ledges, pretty shallow, like 5 feet. Then again, most of the time we are putting them out in summer so that might affect the desired water depth.
