A very wealthy man is walking along the beach and sees something shiny wash up further down the beach. He picks up what appears to be an antique oil lamp. He rubs it to remove the sand and (you guessed it) out comes a genie who tells the man he can have any wish but only one wish. The wealthy man has all he needs but has never visited Hawaii because he gets deathly ill aboard a ship and is terrified of flying. "I would like you to build a bridge to Hawaii so I could drive over to visit those beautiful islands." The Genie is at a loss "That is impossible...some of the pilings would have to be 15,000ft long, the road would have to be elevated high above the water to accommodate shipping, it would be so long there would have to be fuel, food, and medical facilities every 40 or 50 miles, it would have to be engineered to withstand fierce storms...the environmental studies and permitting would take years! I know I said you could have any single wish, but please think of something else." He is disappointed but finally says "OK, give me the knowledge to understand and interpret the mind of a woman." The Genie says "Can the bridge be just one lane each way?"
