This may not be the correct topic, but in a way it has to do with maintenance. I need several, 12-20, PFD life vests to keep on the houseboat. This weekend we had 111 people on 6 boats and I don't think I have my fair share of life jackets. Can someone direct me to a good source? I have looked at Overton's, Bass Pro, etc. and really would like to buy at a better price than what I see there.

Try Academy Sports in Auburn.  They have the largest ships store in the area.  I assume you are talking the orange over the neck type for such a mass purchase.  These can be bought in 'packs' of five that store easily and can be stacked to save space.  You might also check with any of the local shops and have them order them for you  and possibly give a discount, especially if you have been using one shop and have developed a relationship with them.

The gas expenses would kinda throw his savings into the crapper...

Last time I checked out Bass Pro at Opry Mills... They had packs of 5 "ski type" PFD's for about $40... Just my 2cents worth...

Crappy : )

I know Walmart sells the PFDs in a storage container. So might try your local Walmart.

Support your local business, that's what keeps them around and they appreciate it!! Well worth the couple bucks!

Unfortunately, in this area even Wal-Mart is out. I did find 4 packs at Academy Sports for $24.99 with free freight. I agree with keeping dollars local, but when you have to have something that isn't available you have to get them somewhere.

Thanks to all who made suggestions. I appreciate the input!
