Subject:   Changes at Church
Date:   8/26/2013 7:07:45 PM

An elderly priest is talking to his very young assistant about the recent changes at the church. "Father you had real in-site when you took out the first 5 rows of pews and installed the padded theater seating.  We now have the teenage congregants sitting right up front.  That is wonderful to see."

The young Priest nodded thanks and the old Priest continued "I had some concerns when you said we needed to make the music more modern and relevant but the rock and roll choir and the drums, brass and electric guitars have really been a blessing. Now every service on Sunday is packed to the rafters!"

"Thank you father" answers the young pastor. "I am so pleased that you are open to new ideas to draw the people, especially the youth, back to the church."

The older man replies "Yes, most of you ideas have been excellent and I must give you credit, but I'm afraid your new drive-thru confessionals is a bridge too far."

"But" protests the younger Priest, "Our confessions and offerings have almost tripled!"

The elder thinks the says "Well perhaps I misspoke.  Maybe it is not the drive thru that troubles me so much as the sign.  I just feel a flashing neon sign on the roof saying 'Toot 'n tell or got to Hell' is a bit tacky."
