I do not recall seeing this anywhere. How does the playoff system work? 1 vs 3 and 2 vs 4 or 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3?

If it is the first, then #2 has the easier schedule to get into the championship game. There probably would be a huge difference playing 4 vs 3 in the first game.

Ah, there you go. Using logic. This is the NCAA we are talking about, right?

When I feel a bit better, I will dig around. Searches I've used so far yielded nothing useful.

I too did some Googling and cannot find answers. Seems the 13 commissioners have just recently been seated and that they will be deciding the extent of a playoff, where the games will be played and which teams are paired. I don't think there is yet an answer to your question.

Most tourney's try to reward the strongest to get rid of the weakest. And the best usually get a bye for round one. for basketball a double elimination makes the most sense but not for football.
