I want to add some type of pepper to my tomatoes. Peppers to be used in salads, cooking and some for canning. I don't know anything about peppers except eating them.
We buy jars of pepperocini which are like rings and relatively mild. Like those.
What do you suggest? Maybe 2 plants, not a huge crop. And not blazing hot either. Never understood eating something that hurts.

Will you be in coosa county in the near future?  I will need to pick many peppers tomorrow and could save you some.  A few jalapenos, many banana pepper, and more bell pepper.

I wish, but nope. No time soon. Thank you for considering me, though.

I used to grow all kinds. Always had Habaneros for my lawn amigos who would come along and pluck one off for a snack while weed eating. I really liked the long cayenne's for hot pepper sauce and of course jalapenos with all kinds of sweet peppers of most colors. Don't plant but a few banana peppers for salads since they are way too prolific.

Now for conversatioin and a few screams plant a few of these.

Peter peppers really are hot.  I think I have some seeds left.

Can't recall the pepper plants name, but have 5 planted this year.  Will save two in a pot for next year and seeds for more later on perhaps.  Be glad to send you some when you want.  Just holler up.

If you want great flavor a with a little bit of heat grow Poblano and Hot Banana Peppers. They are great for cooking and salads and are more mild than jalapeno and cayenne.
