Fished Saturday morning and the water was 51 degrees and pretty muddy on the North side. That didn't stop the 100 bass boats from whatever they had going on. There was a lot of debris in the water all the way from the river to Wind Creek. Found some clearer water in the Paces area and found some good bait balls and what looked like stripe on the Lowrance. They were suspended in 30'-50' water but didn't want anything to do with down rigged spoons or umbrellas. Like Mnt Man said, once I got shallower than 20' I didn't mark anything on the sonar.

Sunday was picture perfect weather. We scouted around the Little Kowaliga area and found water temps of 55-56 at the surface. Once the temps climb into the 60's, the real fun will begin. The water was starting to clear up, but we didn't mark as much as we've seen in the past couple of weeks. Not sure where they've moved to at this point, but there were lots of gulls waiting for them to show up.

It's not too surprising that the stripes weren't hitting Rebarb's baits. I've had the opportunity to chat with Dr. Sammons (Auburn) on several occassions. One of the many instructive comments he has made is that stripes just don't like muddy water and generally shut down until the water clears up.

Good luck out there and stay Tooned!
