Tomorrow is plug day! I'm hoping it fills up fast. Shame they couldn't have kept some of all that water that fell Friday.

Pretty sure we are not through with the rain - Also pretty sure APCO will let it rise no more than their trusty guidelines will let them...... if their graph gets out of line someone will complain next year if they dont rise as fast..... sit back we will all be out in the next couple of weeks anyway.......

It just pains them to go ahead and just do it.

They are all unhappy and want the world to suffer....... Or they just enjoy watching us complain about it on here.

Who is the representative in congress for Logan Martin property owners?

Seems like time for a few calls and email contact regarding APCO jerking us around

with the summer pool elevation.

I have always been curious about that - I have been told complaints have been filed but it is alabama power that has the control and not the legislature. Seems like money in the counties would be much more important than what alabama power does for the 2-3 counties involved.

If I am correct FERC controls APCO and reservoir regulations.

The US Congress controls FERC's budget.

Thus the U.S. Representative has influence. Along with Shelby and Sessions.

The state legislature has no influence that I am aware of.

I'm not usually an Alabama Power apologist, but have you guys picked up a newspaper, watched the news or walked outside lately.

Logan Martin landowners are represented by Mike Rogers, serving Alabama's 3rd Congressional District.

My point is/was that we are lucky we are not yet dealing with a floooding situation. This rainfall has been forecasted for quite some time and maybe APCO was holding the water back to be safe. I would be willing to bet that we will be WAY over the curve by the end of the day.

I'm not trying to be a schmuck. I have cursed APCO before and I'm sure I will again. I am just willing to give them a little break for being six days late on the curve since it is prime flood season and heavy rain has been predicted for almost a week now.
