Oops, forgot to post the message...

I have a Polaris MSX 140, but can't find anyone around B'ham to work on it.  I put the battery back in it last week, and noticed a nice pool of green in the bottom of the hull, along with what I assume is an oil line, disconnected (and dry rotted).  I can't find where it reconnects, plus I need to get a new one any way.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?  Thanks!

I am working on one of those right now!! I have found out that they are a one year, fairly complex machine that parts, knowledge and diagnostics are made out of unobtainium!!!   I may could help you with it but keep in mind that parts are very limited!!

Probably an oil line, and most likely became disconnected from the carb or oil pump.  As Jeff said, parts are HARD to find and not many people will work on them.  I have four dead Polaris' Skis that are good for parts only should you need something.  Might ought to do a compression test to make sure the engine didn't toast when that line came off (if that is what it is).

I have a 1999 Polarius SLT. Can I disconnect the oil pump and just add oil to the gas? Or will doing this interfere with the electronics  and keep it from starting? Also, I agree that parts are almost impossible to find.

I believe you can.  Although I personally have never done it on a Polaris.  I will do a little research and see.

Gotcha.  What time will someone be around in the am?  I'm from B'ham but my son is in Auburn, so I'll just go stay with him and drive up Friday morning if someone's gonna be around.
