A couple of days ago under the "Lake Martin Fishing" topic, I asked the question if anyone knew if the small stripes had started their run into the sloughs. My experience has been that they start their run in mid-March, and they present a real fun fishing time for a couple of days. You catch a nice one to two pound stripe with almost every cast using a "white" jig. There has been no reply to my earlier post, so hope someone might have some feedback. Thanks!!!!

Hello --I'm new to this forum and have fished the spring run of white, hybrid, and striped bass on the Chattahoochee river but not the Tallapoosa. The run almost starts the second week of march with the 1 -3 lbs white bass (locally known as stripes) and within the next 2 weeks the hybrid and striped bass follow. This year Ibought a bass boat and plan to fish the Tallapoosa around lake Martin and Yates and am trying to find someone who knows the area as a partner. When I do go I'll let you know if the run is on.
Mike
