As a supplier Southern Sash either has or can get just about anything.  I don't think they install though.

Try Window World in Montgomery. They have double pane windows(any size) for $189.00 each installed. I had them replace the windows in my home about ten years ago and I have been very satisfied. Their number is 334-396-5105. I have no connections with them, but found them to be very reasonable.

That is very reasonable.  Do they have their own installers?

Cahaba Glass in Bham was mentioned earlier in a post and I spoke to them at the recent Home Show about replacement/repair for two foggy windows in my home. They can make the repairs on site but it is about $300 per sash.  The owner has a place on LM.

I also have spoken with Window World in Bham but the $189 was for a cheap small window.

If you are close and can get to J&J Windows in Bessemer (205-428-4371) they have the best prices and quality windows. They do not do install as far

First, thanks for the humor on the Jokes Topic Sir!! I enjoy it...

Windows. Not a simple job. My experience in Bham was aluminum frame windows recessed into a brick framework wall. The windows were secured by metal straps on the window frame that screwed into the wooden framework BEHIND the bricks.... The only way to replace the whole window was to cut the window straps with a SawsAll Metal blade, which wrecked the wood frame, the facia inside,, et. al. Big mess. 40 year old house. Window frames were in good shape..

The Cahaba Glass solution offered was to replace the double glass panels in each window. They take very precise measurements,,, TWICE, then order pre-made double glass panels. Then, replace the old panels one at a time.

26 single hung windows (top half fixed,, bottom opens with screen??). $6000. After delivery of glass, job finished in 3 days. Primo.

Not cheap. But quality was primo. Your type construction/requirements might preclude "inexpensive"..??

In my situation, another quote to saw the old windows out and replace was North of $23,000.
